Eagles Told They Are Not Welcomed At White House

I love this president.

DW-

On Monday, President Trump released a statement rescinding the invitation the White House had extended to the NFL Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, noting that some of the players on the Eagles disagreed with Trump’s position that NFL players stand for the national anthem with their hands on their hearts to honor the men and women who have fought for America as well as honoring Americans in general. The statement said, “The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better.”

  1. Not only that, but there will still be a celebration at the White House honoring America and those that support our great country. They will loudly and proudly stand for the National Anthem. It’s all the way across the country for me but I sure would like to be there. I hope 100,000 people show up!

  2. That’s really too bad for the true patriots on the team. Their petty teammates screwed their moment and rite to visit the president and the White House after their first ever Superbowl win. I would be very pissed at these petty teammates and willing to be traded. As sport’s betting gains traction in many states, Don’t place any money on the Eagles next year. There’s gonna be animosity on that team. Is Trump a Giant’s fan? Because if so, that would be nicely played.

  3. Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney called out Trump, releasing this statement on the cancellation:

“The Eagles call the birthplace of our democracy home…

Wrong, Cheese Steak Breath. Our nation’s birthplace is best placed at Lexington and Concord, and we are NOT A DEMOCRACY you twat but a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC with democratically elected representatives. Yeah, that’s you I’m shouting at, Jimmeh.

And as for fragile egomaniacs, you’ll find a lot of those on the Eagles team rather than in the White House.

  4. This all came from the fake news of “hands up, don’t shoot.” and “I can’t breathe.”
What was the end result? Cops now armed with body cameras.
The end result of that is the same people that moaned for body cameras don’t want body cameras anymore. The whole kneeling bit is a virtue signalling cry fest.

Progs bitch for something they vehemently believe in and when it turns south by way of common sense they jump ship and evolve into something more asinine. Think they aren’t insane and mentally ill? Well you probably are too then.

  5. I’ll bet Trump will get personal letters all the way up from ownership down to coaches and team members asking him to reconsider. He should tweet anonymous quotes from them. There will definitely be some great ones. Again, well played Mr. President.

  6. Throw around a pigskin with your children or grand children on a fine fall day in November INSTEAD of watching A holes.

OR burn some gas and go for a ride in the countryside.

BUT remember there ARE good people / players as well.

We cannot completely throw the baby outwith the bad water.

POTUS knows this and he is, I bet, probably more Giant fan than Eagle fan.

  7. @Ghost, He isn’t a loser so can’t be a Jet’s fan and hasn’t gone all-in Washington so can’t be a Redskin’s fan! But one thing we know is that he is a football fan from his USFL days. And amongst NY Giant fans, most hard-core fan’s second favorite team is whoever is playing the Eagles that week! The Eagles have the least respect among the NFC East. Thank you Buddy Ryan!

  8. @ Uncle Al – Cheese Breath – I’m still laughing. The best!

@ Meerkat – well… POTUS being from Queens (MET/JET) vs Bronx
(Giant/Yankee) to know would be interesting to know!

  9. Right On, the President doesn’t need a bunch of anti-American, spoiled, millionaire, self-righteous, ass-hole athletes who don’t appreciate America taking up his time. It is better spent with those who love this country – Veterans.

  10. After umpteen years as a non-bandwagon Eagles fan, I moved 2000 miles away. Along came the demise of the NFL, so I was amused that they finally got to, and won, the Stupid Bowl. Coach Doug Petersen seems like the real deal, Carson Wentz is a prime specimen, and the final game itself was great.

So then they play this sheet. Without a doubt, the NFL will NOT redeem itself! They just don’t get it. And no one owes them a second chance.
Patriotism is natural to children, let alone adults who have a tiger by the tail. They feel like they are too important to respect the rest of us, whether we are paying fans, or not. So. F*ck. Them. If lava consumes every last stadium across the land, meh.

They can slap themselves in the head after no one gives a sheet that they could play this game at a high level. Yawn. And buh bye.

  11. Got to be honest, I had no idea who won the Super Bowl. I actually don’t even know who played. Most my life I’ve been a die hard NFL fan. They wrecked that too.

Can they come back if they learn Respect ?
    —————–

Sorry Plantsman, they ain’t coming back. The breed is of that, they can’t be assimilated into society such as it is. They will go bankrupt and back to the ghetto from where they came. They went to college but learned nothing. Most can’t read or write. Handing them money that they never had leads to bad decisions. It’s the Democrat way!

  13. Due to my utter lack of following the NFL or even The Super Bowl, why are we talking about this in June?
That game was played in February.
They didn’t have time to get to the White House before now?

  14. Adding to what Meerkat Brezezinski said above, “That’s really too bad for the true patriots on the team.”

Yes it is and they should get their justice on the field. For instance, “accidentally” tackling one of their own who had taken a knee, leaving a gap so their unpatriotic colleague gets clobbered, and so on. They were treacherous, so it time to repay the favor. Make it unbearable until they decide to leave. Make it a blatantly hostile work environment and clean house.

  15. The NFL has become a thug/spoiled child league and I did not miss watching them last season and will not this year. They have lost so many viewers they are scrambling to put band aids on the problem to try to placate their players and appease viewers. It’s not working. They’re just making it all worse for themselves.
They sure do know how to ruin their golden goose.
