  1. I dunno. The financials are the financials, they are public and Elon knows where they lie. Number of fake users is a thing, sure, but revenue and expenses are what matters from an SEC perspective and an investment perspective. He can get in there and clean things up, then he can charge more per impression and businesses will pay it because they know the return will be higher.

  2. Twatter is in violation of trade laws if half its traffic is fake. And if they’re the ones making up that traffic in the form of bots, then the company officers should be prosecuted. How is that any different than claiming a larger customer base than you really have to inflate your stock?

If true, that would mean that either Twitter is itself engaged in the manipulation of its stock by artificially increasing its user base, or is simply allowing others to do without taking steps to rein it in, or is totally clueless and is not in control of the situation — none of which is good for you if you’re a shareholder.
