They may using conversion as an excuse, but it is a legitimate claim at least. Muslim countries are as anti-Christian as they are antisemitic, murders all over the Muslim world.
A friend came to US as a religious refugee from Iran. She was very successful, career, husband and two girls, until they discovered about 17 years ago that she had been a Christian since she was a teen. She was tried in court and convicted, bailed to Malaysia with her girls (one just a few months old) when she saw the opportunity.
