In a letter obtained by the Lynnwood Times authored by Brett Shavers, [candidate for Washington State’s 10th Legislative District Clyde Shavers’ father], Brett alleged Clyde was never a U.S. Navy Submarine Officer, exaggerated his mother’s immigration status, has not experienced homelessness, did not grow up in a farming family, and does not reside in the 10th Legislative District all of which his son and 10th LD candidate Clyde Shavers, claims.
The Lynnwood Times has confirmed that Clyde Shavers is also not a practicing Attorney in Washington State, as his Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) Financial Affairs report states.
When the Lynnwood Times reached out to Brett Shavers, a U.S. Navy veteran and retired Police Officer to ask his motive for writing the letter, he shared that he loves his son but grew tired of being roped into his son’s “untruthfulness,” “blatant lie” and “dishonesty.”
“The things he’s saying are not accurate, if not misleading. He’s saying he’s the son of a marine, son of a police officer, son of an immigrant, so it’s if he’s using our credibility to validate his statements,” Brett Shavers told the Lynnwood Times. “We’ve asked him not to embellish or lie constantly but he just continues. Sounds eerily similar to what Christian Walker has said publicly about his dad, Hershel Walker.
Christian is one of those social media influencers (?), is gay, is conservative, and is supposedly a big Trump fan. He has scorched his father publicly, not only calling him an absentee dad, and a lair for his past abortion protestations, but said he threatened his mom with a gun to the head resulting in restraining orders and them having to constantly move to get away from him.
Herschel has said he has suffered in the past from a mental disorder (dissociative identity disorder) but he is now cured [cough].
I still can’t believe the GOP could not field a better candidate, hope he wins naturally but, man o man, this is embarrassing.

Besides what Dad fails to understand is that all these lies just enhance his standing with Demonrats. Look at Da Nang Dick Blumenthal.

That’s the problem I have with bad Republican candidates getting elected. They are the one’s that turn me off to what the Republican party stands for. Put him in there just because he says he’s a Republican? We have too many Rinos as it is.
