(NewsNation) — Throughout the 2024 election, President-elect Donald Trump said he would carry out mass deportations once in office.
Some migrants are voluntarily choosing to leave the country ahead of Trump’s inauguration on Monday.
Immigration attorney Rolando Vasquez told NewsNation some of his clients who entered under the Biden administration are now choosing to return home, fearing deportation under the incoming administration.
It’s not just Trump’s deportation plans that have influenced these decisions. more

It’s about f’in’ time!!
And NOT even in office yet! 😊
Go home. Apply through normal channels. Return when you receive the correct paperwork allowing you to come and stay legally. That’s the win-win we want for you.

I want these parasites gone, but having said that how stupid is it to think “I’m scared of being sent home so I’ll go home on,y own”?
Dr. Tar SATURDAY, 18 JANUARY 2025, 10:40 AT 10:40 AM^^^People who came here illegally should never be allowed to return. They should fix what is wrong with their country. Only people who have skills and something to contribute should be allowed in. No more leeches and criminals.

When I see airplane loads of them departing (320,000 came in that way) I will believe it. Heck I’m even glad to pay for it. But until then….
Adios. No vuelvas.
When the freebies are cut off and there is no employment their choices are limited.
@Cynic:
I’m fairly sure that by sneaking home on their own they hope to remain anonymous, and their names won’t go on a list that would make it difficult or impossible to return legally. Another reason is if they’re felons in which case their “home” might be a feddle pen.
Last night I came across a newly posted vid on u tube were it was discovered that there was a significant line of non English speaking people wanting and receiving food and shelter from government funded relief center in L.A. intended for fire victims. A worker there said they don’t ask people to verify themselves.
I heard that if an asylum seeker interrupts their process by leaving the US it won’t be so easy to apply a second time in the future. So trying to return with asylum as your only claim option isn’t going to work. It would still be worse to be deported.
Good
Sneaking INTO messico may be dangerous.
