Once again, Lahaina comes to mind..
It’s not just the piddly $750 being handed out by FEMA to residents in North Carolina and other states whose homes were destroyed in Hurricane Helene. (A similar amount was handed out to residents of Lahaina, Hawaii, after their town was destroyed by fire.)
It’s the lethal incompetence.
Just as cops taking orders from state government officials blocked Lahaina residents in cars from escaping the inferno — the only survivors were those who defied them and drove through the blockades — FEMA officials from the federal government are doing all they can to block the delivery of aid to people in the hardest hurricane-hit rural areas, where people need food, water, medicine, shelter and everything else and have been completely cut off from civilization. They’re actually stopping them, as if they were trespassers and saying just trust the government. more
How much help is our “Greatest ally” sending ?
I’m sure there is a great deal of incompetence here. However, it’s becoming quite clear that there’s a great deal of intent involved, also. Military assets can be mobilized most anywhere in the world in 18-24 hours. Private citizens are being prevented from lending assistance, even at the cost of human life. WTF are the real reasons for this. Certainly being “out of money” isn’t the case as plenty can be found to send to other countries or given to illegals. We are witnessing the most egregious actions by our own government in over 150-years and it has been shifted in to overdrive in the last four years. Democrats / Elites / Leftists have an agenda and if they’re not stopped America will cease to exist. Do people fail to grasp the gravity of our situation? It is truly shocking that anyone would support government as it exists today.
My county had a declared disaster 2 years ago. FEMA said to come place a claim. I went to the county office building which they had taken over, two armed guards before you got in questioning you. Large room with probably 20 stations set up, all manned by blacks, not a white person to be seen. Strange. First question was my race… My county is probably 95% white. I received no assistance, had to fork out $150000 on my own. Good thing I’m not dead wood and know how to survive.
FEMA is asshoe
The weird thing is, the budget was reinstated on October 1, new fiscal year. So FEMA has a FULL BUDGET. They just won’t give it to people they don’t care about.

I read on X many reports of the Tennessee sheriffs arresting, or threatening to arrest, FEMA agents who prevent private citizens from helping the hurricane victims.
North Carolina is doing it, too.

I spent an hour on the FEMA web page trying to apply for the $750. The application is like Alice running down a rabbit hole. I gave up in frustration after an hour.
BTW: I have 35 years in IT and Tier 4 communications.
