I’m going to open with a comment from the Daily Caller-

Feminism: a system of cognitive dissonance in which females simultaneously want to be allowed to do whatever they want and be treated like anybody else, while also reserving the right to demand the protections afforded them as the fairer sex under that terrible, terrible code known simply as “The Patriarchy”. What Weinstein did was bad. However, it would seem that dozens and dozens of women could have put a stop to it had they valued their honor over career opportunities and settlement cash.
Perfect.

I think it would be easy for us to judge them, but they were in a tough spot where they could lose their careers, or become rich and famous for silence. For those who didn’t find success, Sue him for a Million buck’s or be Vocal ???
Sounds like someone needs a womb zoom.
The drive to be famous is something I’ll never understand. Having plenty of money would be nice, but the burden of being recognized when you went out, or the need for 24 hour security, no thanks. I feel fortunate just the way I am.
Bottom line: People are always going to be attracted to money, fame, and/or power. Other people are going to take advantage of them whenever possible.
Thus it has always been, thus it will always be.
VietVet : Ever think of having your own Honky Tonk Fun Church ?
There are sexual predator laws on the books where a person in a position of authority or presumed authority or the ability to effect a victims career in an indirect manner that will put someone in jail for applying pressure for sexual favours that put the victim in fear of losing their job, position or chance for advancement. While I agree that some of these women were just as manipulating as Weinstein (or the rest of the entertainment sleezos that run Hollywood) I believe the majority had stars in their eyes and were trapped like rabbits when Harvey introduced the actual reality of their situation. Fuck him!
Somebody just lock that bitch into her safe spot and throw away the key please ALREADY!
Is that a young Barbara Streisand?
Women! ‘Look at me!’ ‘SEE my newly-enhanced chest-zeppelins!’ ‘Don’t these stilettos make my legs look fantastic!’
Now, ‘DON’T LOOK!’ ‘Why are you objectifying me!?!”I feel so USED!’
Sexual harassment is sexual harassment, sexual assault is sexual assault, and prostitution (aka) agreeing to provide sexual services in exchange for something of value i.e. a leading role in movie 🎥 is prostitution. Some were victims while others accepted an indecent proposal. They all kept their mouths shut and allowed it to continue for way too long.
The women wanted to succeed in their careers so much they were ripe for being compromised. And when you go to Sodom and Gomorrah for your livelihood you will end up losing your integrity.
The industry as a whole is responsible. Those touting outrage or ignorance, my be the most culpable.
Remember the evangical pig pike in the first exposed offender? The holier-than-thou colleagues, who quickly and most loudly outraged, were often exposed to having committed the same sexual predation.
The same holds true in politics. Like rats on a ship, they band together to cover things and enjoy the ride, until someone is exposed and then it’s ABANDON SHIP.

Oh, @MAGA, don’t say that. How will we ever enforce parental support decrees if the courts actually have to abide by prostitution law?
@Plantsman: I’m not sure what that is, but when I was in Europe, an Army buddy said he once had a chance to buy part ownership in a French whorehouse. Is it anything like that?

Because, you know, people who buy STEM degrees are smarterer.
And women with STEM degrees are just as smart as men with STEM degrees.
(My apology. I ran out of troll juice on that last one.)
What she said is perfectly reasonable and is exactly what I have been thinking. She phrased it well and succinctly.
Hello! The Batchelor and Batchlorette, Survivor and Big Brother are basically people thrown together with the intent to have sex. It is pure prostitution, pimping and whoring and no one says a damn thing!
It’s sad that Ms. Bialik is being so viciously attacked.
Gosh. Also a shame she is an unapologetic liberal.
