5. “Don’t let it happen. It depends on you.” It’s already happening as we saw with CNN’s 2 minutes of hate town hall in Parkland Florida. In stead of a picture of Emmanuel Goldstein, we had Marco Rubio and Dana Loesch and the NRA as the objects of hate and scorn. Public education (government schools) have become for the most part indoctrination centers. I doubt if students today read 1984 they would see any parallels between the book and what is happening in society now, that is if they could take their eyes off of social media long enough to actually read a book.

    He was just an honest one.

    Stalin’s repudiation of Lenin’s InterNationalist Socialism towards a more Nationalist Socialism in the early 30s and the subsequent murders of millions of Ukraines and Byelorussians kind of soured his zeal (that’s not really an appropriate metaphor, is it? – oh well – can’t think of anything at the moment).
