Georgia: Former Democrat Congressional Candidate Charged With Murder

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection to a murder at a residence on Old Powderhouse Road in Aiken.

Kellie Lynn Collins, 30, surrendered to authorities in McDuffie County on Tuesday and was charged with murder and grand larceny. The victim was identified as Curt Cain, 41, and found at his residence on the 3000 block of Old Powderhouse Road on Tuesday after his employer requested a well-being check.

An autopsy revealed that Cain had been shot and died due to loss of blood, according to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton. Cain is believed to have died on Saturday.  more here

  1. FTA: Cain was her Treasurer. Was he was threatening to divulge shady campaign activity?

    Tough luck for her. Had she been a sitting member, she would’ve gotten off with a reprimand and continued on to the US Congress.

  2. What I read on Daily Caller was that she and Cain were living together. Her campaign manager said so. And Cain’s wife was out of town.
    Sounds like a soap opera.

  3. Pffft…who cares? A Republican got caught in an insider trading scandal! Stop the presses! OK, put the Collins story on page 12D, but leave out the party affiliation.

  4. I read the article in my local McClatchy rag and had to wade thru 9 paragraphs to get the party affiliation. If Candidate Skanky had been a Republican it would have been in the headline.

  5. Someone should tell dems that murderer isn’t an acceptable career path here like in….Mexico, El Salvador, etc…
