I think a transition to socialism is the goal of all of this.
Why?
Simple answer, shortages at grocery stores and standing in line to get into them are common in socialist countries (think Venezuela) and this coronapanic is aimed at getting the majority of the no count people, the little people, namely us, gradually accustomed to them instead of hitting with us a sudden and difficult to explain shock with it.

@Anonymous – what gets me is my socialist friends equating lines with socialism, and liking it for some reason. It’s a pretty simple explanation why we currently have lines, why it is not socialism but a short-term disruption, and how it points out the failings of socialism, yet they seem to think lines are desired.

@LCD – I was talking with another member of our worship team last night during our taping of our Easter service. I told him the thing that surprised me was the level of compliance with this, beyond the health precautions. The people narc-ing on their neighbors, calling 911 because you ran out of TOILET PAPER(!!!) and the like. That subservience and eagerness to do the State’s wishes is concerning.
