  1. If it were my class, I wouldn’t accept the paper after the posted deadline. Patrick can take the zero.

    Will this student suffer a grading penalty for being given two full days past the deadline to complete his work? If not, what about the other students in the class that aren’t drunken, lazy idiots? Why should they now bother to maintain a higher level of performance?

    The teacher signed off as “Mr” (not Dr) Martin, so I’m guessing this is a high school or junior college class, and that Patrick will be getting an A on his paper…just like everyone else in the class.

  2. Being an air headed liberal teacher, it would be a waste of time trying to explain all that’s wrong here. No wonder Home Schooling is growing so fast. Even though most Home School parents do not have credentials, their kids learn much more at an earlier age.
