GOP House Member from Indiana Killed with Two Staffers in Freeway Accident

CBS

Republican Rep. Jackie Walorski of Indiana was killed in a car crash Wednesday, the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sheriff Jeff Siegel said Walorski, 58, was in a SUV traveling southbound when it was hit head-on by another car just after 12:30 p.m. All three occupants in one of the cars — Walorski, her district director Zachery Potts, 27, and communications director Emma Thomson, 28 — died as a result of their injuries.

The sole passenger of the other car involved in the crash, which was traveling northbound, also was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Siegel. More

  1. Or it could be just a unfortunate accident, the other driver died too. Next it is Indiana, never heard of her before this. Conspiracy whatever you say, but yeah it was Aliens.

  2. I’ve driven that highway and it can be very busy at times. Just two lanes and fields on either side for miles. Still, I wonder if it was an “accident”. They seem to be able to wind up people to do these shootings and get killed in the process, why not a wind up driver?

  3. She’d turned a blue district red in 2012 and was on House Ways and Means, a powerful but very public committee. The representative probably would have been in a very desirable position (Ways and Means is taxes) once the red wave hits.

No obvious motive beyond that for someone to want her dead. More likely just a damn shame.

  4. @ Dr. Tar
I have read she was slated to be the chairperson of the House Ethics Committee, assuming the GOP wins control of the House.

That would make many shake in their boots….both D’s and R’s.
