College Hall of Fame running back Herschel Walker sent out a tweet on Friday reminding people that the First Amendment protects not only freedom of speech but also freedom of religion.
“We keep hearing the importance of Freedom of Speech…but let’s not forget we have Freedom of Religion,” Walker said in his tweet.
“Never give up our right to worship! If we can protest, we can get back to Church!” he said.
Walker attached video clip to the tweet. In this video clip, he said:
Herschel Walker is an American. And he is proud to say so. He is not alone in the black American community either. They are out there in significant numbers.
Hershel is right. We have the right to celebrate our religion, despite what many on the left say. Rejoice in God and all that he has given us!
I stand for the National Anthem and kneel before Him that gives us all that we have been granted. He gave us his Son to cleanse us.
Good Person Period!
Our “rights” have been transformed from the right to do something without government interference to the right to ask the government’s permission to do those things in the manner they allow it to be done.
A “fundamental transformation” sort of thing, something the last administration promised us and something the current administration doesn’t seem willing to do anything about.
Bravo Mr. Walker.
I’m afraid that if this went all the way to the Supreme Court as it is currently constituted Chief Justice John Rogers would rat fuck us again.
