A couple of assistant professors in communications from Canadian created a freeloading robot that is expecting travelers to help it hitchhike from Boston to San Francisco.
The child-sized HitchBot has already been across Canada and last summer toured Europe.
The Official webpage provides GPS coordinates for the little sponger and It snaps off a picture every 20 minutes. The thing has a wish-list of places it would like to visit- like Time Square, Mount Rushmore and the Grand Canyon.
I’d like to take it on a tour of Detroit, East St. Louis, Baltimore – you know leftist utopias.
Might want to avoid Chicago, Baltimore, and Ferguson…
It looks like a giant mutant lego.
I’d like to drop a couple of M-80’s into the bucket head there (snicker snicker)
..specifically the half stick kind 😉

.
Once it gets to the Grand Canyon can it be “oopsed” off a cliff? And…can we get a picture of that?
Make it stand on the glass observation platform over the top of the Grand Canyon and see whether or not that would discombobulate it enough to want to commit robot hari kari. I don’t like heights and that platform scares me just looking at pictures of it. Do robots suffer from vertigo?
That glass platform FREAKS me out, man!
As if America doesn’t have enough mind-numbed robots always looking for a free ride. Sigh.
Hey, if I were living in a place like Philly, I’d probably kill it, too, assuming it was some kind of murderbot!
