This message sharing it on X a few days ago got three million views. The heartwarming ad is brought to us by DocMorris, a company that calls itself the largest online pharmacy in Germany and like some of the best European ads, does not need much talking in it to get the message across. In the first video, the sadness in the old fellow’s eyes is touching. Some of us here have probably faced it. For the rest of us, it is in the future.

This morning, I discovered a DVD copy of a home movie my grandfather took of my brother and me riding a pedal car and a tricycle when we were about three and four years old. I can’t stop watching it. My brother died when he was twenty-three and I was twenty-two. I miss him.
