Didn’t watch because this lady is a numbskull and I’m not interested in what she has to say about our flag. As a veteran I am proud of that ragged old flag just like in the Johnny Cash song. My American flag is up and waving in the wind out in front of my house all this Memorial Day weekend. I proudly served under the American flag, so did my dad, all my uncles, my father-in-law and many others. Lady, if you don’t like the freedom that the American flag represents feel free to move to whatever shithole country you want to. I believe that we are still one nation, indivisible under God with liberty and justice for all and if that offends you, tough shit.
I’ve never met a lefty who didn’t want America to be like some other shithole country because they have free shit.
America was built on the principle that citizens don’t and shouldn’t trust government to be competent running any program. Including surrendering to the whims of bleeding heart liberals that want “free” government run education and healthcare. Because you see, we ALL end up paying for things we don’t use by force, at the end of a gun barrel. That’s not receiving anything for free and certainly not living free! That, sweet tits, is why the right is symbolic with the American flag and not the socialist nazis on the left. No liberal seems to ever understand that.

I don’t know this particular lefty, but the ones I know are assholes. They don’t want to debate any ideas or even listen to any countervailing viewpoints. They believe government is benign and the politicians always act in the best interests of the citizenry. They believe that they, and only they, know what is best for everyone. They live different lives than most Americans and they have no problem using force to promote their ideals.
I believe that their true flag was actually one that was used by some European country in the 1930s and 1940s. The names of that country and the evil dickheads that ran it escapes me at the moment.

What they fail to understand is that when America is strong, wealthy and healthy, like under Trump, EVERYBODY benefits from it!
Our respect and veneration of the Flag is not rooted in sympathies for people “being educated and healthy, having a house, having enough to eat.” Of course, those are all good things which is why she presents them. Who among us would possibly be against those things?!
But this is what the Flag means for her and the Left a Flag which stands for the Nation-State that manages outcomes and equalities and provides for our needs; a “benevolent State” that, ultimately, isn’t.
Our “shitty ideas” represented by the Flag are fundamentally about Liberty, self-determination, and being free from Tyranny and from Government/State coercion and intrusion into every aspect of our lives.
There is a great gulf fixed between the Left and the Right.
I spent this morning erecting my new flagpole. It looks awesome with a large American flag waving in the wind just in time for Memorial Day.
