House intelligence panel votes to release classified Nunes memo about FBI eavesdropping

Heh – NBC reports that they voted along party lines. Graham (who didn’t get a vote) didn’t want the memo released. What does THAT say?

NBC-

WASHINGTON — The House Intelligence Committee voted along party lines Monday to to make public a classified memo about some of the most sensitive secrets in the government, prompting Democrats to accuse the Republican majority of playing politics with national security to protect President Donald Trump.\

Republicans have said the memo, written by the committee’s chairman, Devin Nunes, R-Calif., examines how the FBI eavesdrops on suspects in national security investigations. They say it shows corruption in the FBI that is “worse than Watergate,” proving that special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is based on a fraud.

Democrats say the memo is a grossly distorted attack on the Mueller probe, designed to “brainwash” people into erroneous conclusions, in the words of Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., who serves on the committee.

  1. Now the big tell will be who else resigns “in protest” in the next five days. Start measuring the lengths of rope and how many will be needed and the pick a good lamp post on Pennsylvania Avenue with a view for all to see.

  2. “eavesdropping”
    RIIIIIGHT.
And Bill Clinton “did not have sexual relations”….
And “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.”

    “eavesdropping.”
What a unique way to spell
    SEDITION and TREASON!

  3. In every other case I can remember the dems sided with the leakers of classified information. Very recently Obama pardoned Manning. Now they are concerned about classified information. Yeah right.

  4. A couple of Senators, including Trey Gowdy, asked the House to not release the memo. Turns out Gowdy is nothing but talk. Disappointing. Thankfully the House didn’t listen.

  5. Shifff (spellcheck wants to make it sniff) did about a 20 minute cry fest press appearance saying how mean those republicans are for voting to release the memo and not their minority memo. He is all upset because the republican majority refused to allow the democrat minority to rule over the majority.
Poor baby 👶 if he wants the minority to rule over the majority, he ought to try to become a senator as we have allowed the minority to rule over the majority with 40 out of 100.

  6. My bet is Trump will only mention it passingly during SOTU, and say he may make it public after review. Why would he ruin this excellent opportunity to shine the light on all the MAGA stuff that has been happening this past year?
He will save the public release for maximum effect, after he makes them squirm a little more…

  7. “press appearance saying how mean those republicans are for voting to release the memo and not their minority memo.”

There’s a little more Bull Shit going on there than meets the eye. Nunes memo has been out for a while so law makers could review it. The minority memo, Shiftless Dicks memo, has not. Few people have seen it.

  8. How will this release impact the prosecution of those who ordered, directed and participated in breaking the rules, regulations, law and/or the cover-up?

I am unconvinced the deep state establishment will allow prosecutions let alone convictions. Keep in mind the two tiered judicial system is a significant part of the establishment.

I’ve has so much smoke blown up my backside I’m not sure my feet will ever touch the ground.

  9. Hey Brad, and another thing, who in the hell gives a flying fuck what the guilty party has to say other than the co-conspirators and apologists. Right now those bastards are trying to figure out what message they should be trying to get the sheep to repeat. I damn sure hope the intent on our side is to bury these traitors, I don’t care what party they are, this is good vs evil.

  10. cato, you have a valid point. If that happens we can’t take it sitting down. Those of us, the citizens of this country have everything to lose, and to fight for. I think our numbers are growing.

  11. Let’s go to fantasyland for a while. Here’s an excerpt from President Trump i’d Like to hear….

As a businessman who has built hotels, resorts and business complexes worldwide I have been the victim of corruption, bribery, collusion and extortion by politicians at every level, from heads of state to mayors and everywhere in between. It was only when I became President of the United States that I have experienced corruption and deviousness of the political infrastructure throughout the bureaucratic state of the magnitude that has manifested its pure and unbridled contempt for you, the people, who have duly elected me. It is not me the deep state despises. It is you, the electorate.

    // end of fantasy speech

  12. @Beachmom–not only is Trey Gowdy a House Representative–he was the one who wanted the FBI Director Wray to SEE the memo. He actually pushed Nunes to show it to him. That is why Wray saw it over the weekend and {{{SNAP}}} just like that, McCabe is gone.

  13. I think the “minority memo” is like the Russian Dossier, a made up POS to counteract the FISA memo. More lawyer talk for another year or two. President Trump has five day to think about it. It would be to my heart’s delight if he read it us tomorrow night as his SOTU speech. Just like killary read from Wolff’s Lies at the Grammy’s.

  14. So the corrupt FBI who didn’t investigate the tip-off from Russia about the Boston marathon bombing brothers….

Didn’t investigate near 911 about pilots not wanting to learn how to land plans,

and a woman who organized an “Everybody Draw Mohammad” facebook page after threats to, “run for your life”

…deserves no protection or benefit of the doubt about anything.

I will assume corruption when I hear, “The FBI says…..”

  15. It’s about time, first the State of the Union and then on Wednesday or on Thursday the nation will see the memo!

Grab your popcorn, we are in for a quite a show!

Eph 5:11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—
