How Obama Impacted the Military

American Thinker:

By Janet Levy

Radical changes imposed on our military by progressives, begun in earnest during the Obama administration, are negatively impacting our combat readiness and jeopardizing the lives of our men and women in uniform and, ultimately, our national security.  In Stand Down:  How Social Justice Warriors Are Sabotaging America’s Military, author James Hasson elucidates how Barack Obama fundamentally changed military culture to make our nation less secure. Hasson, a former Army captain, Army Ranger School graduate, and Afghanistan veteran, argues that military readiness was sacrificed for identity politics and progressive rhetoric. He lists examples such as policies that established “safe spaces,” prohibited “micro-aggressions,” denigrated “hyper-masculine” traits, implemented unwise “green” standards and injected “social justice” guidelines in military operations.

In his revealing book, Captain Hasson describes how Obama’s military appointees, mainly progressive ideologues lacking military experience and hailing from academic, political, and the private sectors, were placed in charge of seasoned combat generals with decades of combat experience.  The priorities, experience, and philosophies of the officers and appointees couldn’t have been more disparate.

Many senior military staff members suffered in silence at Obama’s attempt to use the military as a “laboratory for progressive social engineering,” according to Hasson.  more here

  1. While Barry was President there was a time when we did not have a fleet aircraft carrier battle group at sea and battle-ready. This has not happened since before WW II. Supposedly, the Air Force inventory had only 25% of their aircraft mission-ready.

Add that to all of the pussy-assed progressive bullshit that is being disposed of and it becomes apparent that Trump is doing more that just draining the swamp.

  2. You have to wonder where we’d be if our president wasn’t devoting so much time with unscrewing so much of the damage caused by the Kenyon fraud.
The real shame of it is that so many supported him and still do. The man was pure scum.

  3. How many died in helicopter crashes from that shitty algae-pseudo-fuel?
How many died from stupid and contradictory Rules of Engagement?
How many careers were scuttled by Political Correctness and Affirmative Action for Women?
“Hands Up; Don’t Shoot!” is no way to run an Army.

  4. I lived the nightmare this bastard put us through the last eight years of my military career. I supported him without rancor in uniform because it was my duty to the CinC but I am retired now and can honestly say it was far worse than this young CPT describes.

The real politics starts at the field grade level and the Magic Negro purged the AD ranks and even some RC of the warriors in favor of his toadies. It was a blood bath.

I survived because of my limited particular military specialty, but I knew that promotion for me was capped, not sour grapes ( I was even recalled to AD after my first retirement) because I rose from E-nothing up the flagpole far higher than a young Private could imagine but I had enough when the whole tranny love started.

All SJW lab experiments aside, it was really his gutting of the budget and ridiculous RoE that cost lives, that I can never forgive him for.

I will despise him till my last breath for that. Looks to me that AIDs is catching up to him so maybe I will get the last laugh after all.

  5. The Left has used the military for social experiments for decades. When I enlisted in ’79, it had been determined that the ASVAB was racist because a lot of paint-chip eaters couldn’t score well. So we had guys in technical MOSs that literally, could not read the manuals. There were three guys in our section who we would have to go behind to make sure the aircraft they crewed were properly maintained, and we couldn’t say anything about it. The only way to make E-5 was to be black or Puerto Rican. And in any class, if the top student were white, a PoC would be awarded “discretionary points” and made the honour graduate. When that happened to me, I forgot all thoughts of re-enlistment.

It was in Jimmy Carter’s Army that I learned how much the Left hates America and her military. When I saw the gay thing happen, I recognized it right away as that same crap they gave us in the ’70s; anything to destroy esprit de corps.

  6. how long are we going to let those kindergarten portraits hang in the peoples house?

we should start a campaign to have them replaced with real art

if the left can tear down our memorials for citizens they don’t like, then we should be able to have those portraits removed from the whitehouse

I will never get over the amateurishness of those paintings

I know the black jebus is laughing at us over them

  7. “the only gay super power military”

    Sparta?
    Thebes?
    Persia?
    (for their day, I mean)

Being a fag was the least pernicious thing about Obola.
At least when he was gobblin knob he was leaving the country alone.

Cisco, I would have preferred Stage IV pancreatic cancer, but I’ll settle for AIDS.

And I hate Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton for their shitty leadership while I was active duty.
