ICYMI: “McJesus” Draws An Angry Crowd In Haifa

Israeli Christians fire bombed and violently protested the Haifa Museum of Art earlier this month over an exhibit that included a crucified Ronald McDonald (titled “McJesus”) and “Barbie doll renditions of a bloodied Jesus and the Virgin Mary.”

The museum’s art director, who claims the exhibit was “intended to criticize what many view as society’s cult-like worship of capitalism” had initially refused to remove the most offending objects. The museum opted instead to hung a curtain over the entrance to the exhibit and posted a sign saying the works on display were not intended to offend. More

“McJesus” was later removed and returned early to the Zetterberg Gallery in Helsinki. Artist Jani Leinonen stated that he never wanted the work displayed in Halfi and “that he supports the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, or BDS, movement – aimed at pressuring Israel to end its occupation of Palestinian territories.” More

  1. “Here’s Jesus with a dildo in his ass covered in feces. It’s not meant to offend.”

The fact is that if Christianity is going to survive into the next Century, then it better start establishing boundaries for precisely what it won’t tolerate, because the bullshit Christianity-lite we practice in the West is a fucking joke. Here’s the list of things the Catholic church makes excuses for…

    – Abortion
    – Gay marriage
    – Adultry
    – Homosexuality
    – Pedophilia
    – Communism

Seriously, what exactly does Christianity actually stand for in the US other than squeezing easy money out of morally lazy, superstitious shitbags looking to purchase absolution for their endless sins? Funny how the Mormons are the only marginally Christian organization that actually excommunicates people for breaking the rules, instead of just for bullshit political reasons.

  2. Jesus is off the cross (AND RESURRECTED) in my Faith — it’s offensive sure but not as OFFENSIVE as a muth–f–k-ng sand bastard cutting heads off of men, women, and children who won’t pray to a bastardized moon god cult.

You are right that abortion, heterosexual adultery, faggotry, deceit, and murder in name of politics, economics, or personal gain are abominable and an affront to everything Jesus and God stands for.

But God mandated individual repentance for sins so ALL I can do is teach the word, live the the word as best I can, and pray Jesus returns soon.

  3. I do not think that the world itself (as we know it) will last another century. He is at the door, getting ready to rip open the sky and pour out the wrath so deeply deserved on this fallen world.

A few years ago my family and I visited several “churches” in the area, to see what others were preaching. This was a mix of various denominations and I was duly unimpressed. Each had a few staples of “truth”, but most were far from preaching The Good News.

Most were indistinguishable from the culture, in fact, they seem to wrap themselves in it with the hope of filling seats. I never even heard a word or indirect reference to sin, transgression or our fallen nature. Mostly unicorn flatulence and easy grace with no requirements on our part.

What is a covenant without both sides having skin in the game? Even our forefather Abraham was a man of obedience.

Gen 26: [5] Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

The educated and wise theologians of the 1st century had it as backwards as the 21st experts have it. Grace was always free, everything that YHWH provided and did for man and His called out assembly (Israel, which we are grafted into) was by grace, it was disobedience that brought the curses exactly has YHWH said He would. From Genesis through the first Advent, grace has been poured out and time and time again, man has fouled it up.

Few are chosen and few are they that will enter at the narrow gate, many are they that will enter into destruction at the wide gate. Many will say Lord Lord, but He will not know them. Depart from me, you who work lawlessness. There will wailing and gnashing of teeth!

There is so much more to say here, but I pray that a seed cast will find good soil.

    Shalom
