- Dozens of pro-Palestinian protesters stormed Columbia University’s Butler Library, interrupting students studying for exams and declaring the library a “liberated zone.”
- Columbia University’s Public Safety Team responded by asking protesters for identification and warning of possible arrests for non-compliance, while condemning the disruption of academic activities.
- The NYPD arrested at least 75 people after the University said the protesters had created a safety hazard.
Did the librarians tell the pro Pali protestors to shush and be quiet because they were creating a loud disturbance inside the library?
The real surprise was that NY police did their job.
Not that the officers wouldn’t, but that their superiors would allow them to.
My advice – weld the doors shut, board the windows and throw a 10lb ham in once a week!
Hilarious, like when the BMW dealership turned off the lights and left after climate nutjobs glued themselves to the floor.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul also denounced the protesters. “Everyone has the right to peacefully protest,” the Democrat wrote on X. “But violence, vandalism or destruction of property are completely unacceptable.”
Unless it’s aimed at Trump or his supporters…in which case it is expected and encouraged…

Ironic. Ham-ass pro-Palestinian anti-thought, anti-free speech protestors barricading themselves in a library, the very heart of free speech and open thought.
It looks like the library has turned into a bog jail.
Who knows, maybe they were in the library just to study, it could happen.
