A Hong Kong Instagram star tragically plummeted to her death after she slipped while snapping a selfie at a waterfall.
The shocking incident occurred after Sofia Cheung, 32, and three friends embarked on a trip to Ha Pak Lai park around 11 a.m. Saturday, the Sun reported. The influencer had decided to take selfies at the edge of a waterfall at the park’s Pineapple Mountain site — a locale popular with hikers at sunset — when she apparently lost her footing and fell into the 16-foot pool below.
Cheung’s horrified friends promptly called emergency services, who quickly arrived and whisked the woman to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival, according to the Sun. more

I can hear her now talking for the selfie. All my followers look at me, me, meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (that last one at a sharply increasing pitch and volume for an abbreviated period of time). What may be most sad is that people this stupid and careless actually influence others.

We still have the occasional idiot who disregard the warning signs at Palouse Falls in SE Wash. state and walks around the barriers to look down on the falls next to a cliff and tumbles over over and down into the water a couple of hundred feet below. Another one bought the farm earlier this year doing this. They’ll never learn or pay attention to the warning signs, oops there goes another one.

I would have guessed a 16 foot fall into a pool was pretty survivable.
Maybe she bonked her head on a rock on the way down or the pool was shallow with rocks in it?
Regardless, it was time for her to pass. Hoping she found Jesus beforehand, but I’m doubting it.
