  2. Trump is not just a battleship, Trump is an Iowa Class Battleship. He can take on another heavy hitter and sink them with his big guns while defending himself against enemy aircraft better than any other battleship, he also has agility and is well armored.

    DJT POTUS is not a battleship. Battleships, while extremely effective, are a sitting target. I think he is better to be described a a Fast Frigate with depth chargers and very high caliber guns that fire hundreds per second.

  13. My dad did one of his midshipman cruises on a battleship right after ww2. He said it was great fun when they did gunnery practice. When they swung all nine guns to the side for a broadside they’d announce over the 1MC to brace. BOOM!! Damn thing would move sideways five feet from the recoil.

  14. @joe6pak (at 6:52 pm): I don’t like the term “Nevertrumper”. It implies that you’ve given up on someone ever seeing the light about The Donald and repenting of their error, as Whittle has done. I would prefer the term “Skepticalabouttrumper”. A lot of us were in that category prior to 2016.

  15. Vietvet, I might have missed it. Did Whittle repent, or is he just on Trump’s team because he doesn’t have anyone else? I have no trouble with someone genuinely getting on the Trump Train, but if he jumps on the next shiny new train that comes around we will know he is just a hobo looking for a new ride.

  17. @joe6pak – I don’t think Bill Whittle was ever a nevertrumper. I have followed him for a long time and I never saw that. His employee, Scott Ott, however, was and is a nevertrumper. He has had to tone it down lately but he still gets his subtle digs in from time to time. Whittle usually sets him straight. Not sure where you got the idea that Whittle was anti-Trump.
