I expected his plot to be green with a white line around it for some reason

Usually when they risk stealing home it is against a lefty, pretty amazing when the pitcher can see you all the way.

He was out.

Whitey Ford’s wind-up was so slow. He should have pitched in set position with Robinson threatening to steal the entire at bat.

“Whitey”
But of course…

It looks like his toe could have made it to the corner of home plate. Why didn’t ‘t they show the five other camera angles in High-def?
(I know, I know.)

The umpire was afraid to be called a racist.
7
I wonder if Whitey Ford could even imagine a person being so bold as to even think of stealing home plate
Thats probably what happened. What Robinson did was so unprecedented Ford couldnt even conceive it could happen. So Ford would have thought, “Robinson’s just trying to break my concentration.”

Obama will try to connect himself some how today to Jackie Robinson by tweeting a selfie with Jackie in the background on his computer screen.
5
Ty Cobb stole home 54 times. Ricky Henderson 4 times.
7
I interviewed Jackie in the dugout right after it happened.
He gave me the ball and signed it for me.
9
Ya’ll racis’ for sayin’ Jackie be stealin’ from Whitey.

This is Jackie Robinson Day, not his birthday, which is Jan. 31st.
A lot of people who really elevated their sports have birthdays clustered in late January and early February: Robinson, Babe Ruth, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, and some great NFL q-backs e.g., Roger Staubach. Someone came up with a theory about that and it has nothing to do with astrology.

The way Jackie walked got up and walked away he KNEW he was nailed…

@TimBuktu, you were right, it wasn’t his birthday but his first day he played as a professional baseball player. Actually, he shares his birthday with Ghost!! It took us a long to find his grave site. Not sure what we were expecting. @MJA, maybe if it was as grand as you were thinking we would have seen it sooner. Special day for a special man!
God Bless us all!

Today’s umpires would’ve thrown Yogi out immediately.
