FEMA is deficient, but I’d put most of the blame on the Governor.
The victims of Helene turned out in huge numbers for Trump on election day. I’m confident he won’t let them down. FEMA needs a huge overhaul.
What I didn’t realize until I read something on X is that Life Insurance companies won’t pay out without a body. Many people have been left to rot in the resulting flotsam of the flood on purpose.
At first, I thought that it was because the government didn’t want to accurately announce the thousands of people who died. That’s probably true, but the insurance companies now don’t have to pay out on thousands of claims, either.
I wouldn’t doubt that the government and insurance companies are working together on this evil.
