Just The News: The release of over 60,000 pages of documentation so far related to the investigation of the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy revealed little new information about the incident itself but filled in some colorful details about infamous assassin Lee Harvey Oswald as well as American intelligence operations across the globe, specifically in Latin America.
One document shows that a Central Intelligence Agency source, also an American professor, said a senior KGB official named only as “Nikonov” described in 1991 his intelligence agency’s efforts to monitor Oswald while he lived in the Soviet Union from 1959 to 1962, shortly before the Kennedy assassination.
The professor, who was a long-time friend of the Russian, was interested to know whether the KGB had records of Oswald working for them. Oswald’s brief residency in the Soviet Union, where he attempted to defect from the United States and revoke his citizenship, has been the subject of scrutiny for years and gave rise to suggestions the assassin was working for Soviet intelligence. more
We have known for many years that the CIA was involved in many shady and illegal activities to topple some foreign governments and assassinate some foreign leaders including Fidel Castro. But so far I have not read of any ties between Oswald and the CIA or Oswald’s involvement in any of the CIA’s schemes.
“CIA bad” and “Oswald bad” does not, without more, make them co-conspirators.

The best analysis of LHO that I have seen was that he was simply an attention whore, one that would have shot Bozo the clown if it had been him in that motorcade for the attention.
Has there been anything useful from the docs supposedly released by the gov’t? If so I have not read about anything earthshaking.
All I’ve read is that they were heavily redacted and probably not a complete collection. This will pass through the news cycle quickly like everything else does. People will easily forget about this so-called release of JFK files. Why worry about it – March Madness is much more interesting to the average slob.
My new-found theory fits as well as any other. Oswald was not a human. He was an alien robot sent to Earth to assassinate Kennedy.
Because Kennedy promised to send humans to the moon. The Alien civilization does not want humans to visit other places in the solar system. The moon is their base. They relented when they realized the humans would be there only for a few times and would not create a permanent settlement. But after 1972 they instructed world leaders to halt all future expeditions to the moon and beyond.
After the assassination, the robot LHO AKA The Terminator, had to be destroyed. Jack Ruby did that job to perfection with a specially made ray gun made to destroy robots, and to further hide the murky details, Jack Ruby himself was….
