DES MOINES, Iowa — John Delaney has ended his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, more than two-and-a-half years after he became the first to announce his candidacy.
The former Maryland congressman and entrepreneur, 56, was a self-made multimillionaire before he entered politics.

He blows all that money and his kids probably ask their mother “who’s that guy again?”
…I was polling better than him, and I wasn’t even running.
Also, at least I had my OWN support, HE looks like he might have, you know, “issues” anyway, and this probably did not help…

I would have read the article about his withdrawal but trimming my nose hair was more urgent and consequential and a higher priority.
Had no idea he was even running.
I listened to him in the first debate. He may have been the most moderate candidate, questioning how all of the free programs would be paid for. Never stood a chance
I thought I was informed being the news junkie I am but I never heard of John Delaney.
