Kansas man accused in guitar string decapitation

Guitar string decapitation: James Paul Harris: James Paul Harris.

LYNDON, Kan. (AP) — A man accused of beheading a Topeka resident with a guitar string has pleaded innocent to premeditated first-degree murder.

Police say 29-year-old Paul Harris practiced voodoo and kept the head of 49-year-old James Gerety to talk to after the March or April 2011 killing.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that Gerety’s partial remains were found a year later in Carbondale, 18 miles south of Topeka.

  1. The sickest thing is how hard you would have to work to decapitate a head with a guitar string. Even with the thinnest “E” string it would take some effort sawing through skin like that. He had to have used something else to get through the spine and whatnot. What a sick, weird-eared freak of a human.

  2. If his middle name is Lee, he could cross off two prerequisites for being a white killer. The first is facial hair and the second is Lee.
