Oklahoma Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin has blocked the promotion of the “last US soldier out of Afghanistan” to get his fourth star and become commander of US Army Europe. Lieutenant General Christopher Donahue is currently the commanding general of the Army’s XVIII Airborne Corps and once and future Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Tellingly, his was the only one of nearly 1,000 military promotions not approved as the Senate recessed for Thanksgiving. Someone familiar with the affair confirmed Mullin’s removing Donahue from the promotion list was directly related to Donahue’s role in Afghanistan.

If you or I imported a vehicle not allowed to be sold here, we would be in all sorts of trouble. And as far as the Auto-cannon, that would be prison time.
I wonder if he’ll be called up before congress to testify on his conduct during the evacuation. The man deserves to be cashiered.
I have not read this story before. If it is true, Donahue is a perfect example of the rot infecting our armed services.
I wonder how the Marines, the ones the US citizens were pleading with to be allowed to board, got out of Afghan, or were they also sacrificed?

He Must Testify about his role in the Afghanistan Dishonorable Retreat and leaving behind $100s of Millions of dollars of highly sensitive weapon systems, Helicopters, HumVees, Armored Personnel carriers, trucks, Tanks, ammunition, thousands of weapons and so much more.
Demotion to full Bird Colonel (or below) and retired at the very least.
