As an April Fools joke, Google put a second send button on their gmail application.
If a user hit it by accident it sent a stupid animation to the recipient of a Minionwho would do a “mic drop” and walk away. The recipients would just be confused.
Turns out, people were losing their jobs because they thought they were sending their work in, but they weren’t.
GREAT JOKE!!!!!!! Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaassholes.
“Thanks to MicDrop I just lost my job,” claimed one user on Google’s product forums.
“I am a writer and had a deadline to meet. I sent my articles to my boss and never heard back from her. I inadvertently sent the email using the MicDrop send button.”
Another complained that they had been having interviews for a job with a company for three months and then accidentally sent a mic drop email to the HR department.
And a third said that they had sent an “important email to 30 recipients.”

Google folks might be smart about some things but they lack common sense in just about everything. Look at who they vote for and what they drive.
The April Fools stuff I saw/read today irritated me. Not sure why.
Anyone who actually lost their job for this should be flipping burgers anyway…
Google is at the top of my boycott list. They are a tool of the 0bama administration now.
I’m sorry to be so out of. It, but what’s a mic drop?
A “mic” is an Irishman who who has’t had his Special K cereal….
redgrandmaDinoBreitbart, a “mic drop” is when you say something really profound, drop the microphone you were speaking into, then walk away like a boss.
That is why I have to buy my microphones in bulk. 🙂
