Mexican Military Just Seized Assets of an American Company

TownHall-

Over the weekend, the Mexican military seized a number of assets belonging to American company Vulcan Materials.

“The seizure of a US company’s marine terminal in Mexico has drawn criticism from a US senator and risks sparking more tension between the two nations amid spats over energy and security,” Bloomberg reports. “US construction firm Vulcan Materials alleges that armed forces, including from the Mexican government, launched a takeover of its facility in the country’s southeast on Tuesday. The company says a federal judge in Mexico has ordered a stay on any government effort to confiscate the property.”

The move prompted national security experts to sound the alarm, calling the situation “insane.”

Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe is also weighing in, noting President Joe Biden’s continued weakness on the world stage. more here

  2. Mexico has already taken over large chunks of formerly sovereign American territory, so why be surprised that they take over American property inside Mexico?

  3. And what Mexican businesses are there inside the US that can be seized?
    Tit for tat.

  4. Joey had better look after himself and get his shit together otherwise Mrs. Biden may take him out. The look that she gave him after he made an assertion that he was a student of islam may due him in.

  5. Unfortunately the article has ‘Eyepatch McCain’ imagery. Also absent was any reasons for the takeover. It sounds complicated and the facility has allegedly been closed for nearly a year and contracts involing it expired months ago. Another company is claiming the facility. I question if it is occupied by the military, they probably just helped seize it. Leasing versus owning happening. Any seaside property in Meh-hee-co is and always was a risky venture. No doubt such a bold move would not have happened under ’45.
