Michael Avenatti Arrested Again While At Hearing For Another Legal Matter

Daily Caller:

Attorney and Trump foe Michael Avenatti was arrested Tuesday while attending a California State bar disciplinary hearing for another legal matter.

Avenatti’s arrest came outside of the California disciplinary hearing related to allegations that the attorney scammed a client out of almost $840,000. During a break, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California arrested Avenatti for a different criminal matter.

“I understand that Mr. Avenatti has been arrested by the federal authorities for violating the terms of his release,” attorney Steven Bledsoe, who is representing Avenatti’s accuser in the scamming case, said according to The Daily Beast. read more

  1. I thought the apples are oranges network was going to make him our next president. Did something happen?

  2. For an attorney, Avenatti doesn’t seem to know much about the law or if he does he doesn’t seem to have much respect for it, at least not as far as obeying it.

  3. Whatever happened to Avenatti running for president? He seems to meet or exceed the qualifications to be the dem nominee.

  4. He was basically a daytime talk show host on CNN and MSNBC at the same time. No retractions needed.

We had a similar situation locally. An ex-con (armed robber) turned anti-private prison advocate became the go-to “non-profit civil rights” guy to complain about the death penalty, jails, etc. Every news channel and paper used him.

I searched his e-mail address that he would send all of his editorials from and found he had an active account on a beastiality website. I put it out there with screenshots to the news folks and they ignored it. You know, maybe don’t put all your eggs in this guy’s basket.

I told them they needed to “vet” their sources beter.

Last week, he was arrested impersonating a construction worker at our new jail with copies of keys to the building and schematics of the facility.

The media remains quite mum on this development with their star witness.

  5. Unfortunate fact: In the entire US, slightly under 0.1% of all lawyers are disbarred every year.

Pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers.

  6. Why doesn’t anyone say WHAT the violation was? My schadenfreude could be deeper and more satisfying that way.

  7. Too bad he didn’t “represent” the Clintons. We could be hearing “Avenatti killed himself” stories and new memes in the near future.
