Mike Pence booed during NRA convention speech in his home state

FOX: Former Vice President Mike Pence received a not so warm welcome during his appearance at the annual National Rifle Association (NRA) convention on Friday afternoon.

After being introduced by NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre, Pence faced loud boos from across the room as attendees expressed what appeared to be a strong dislike for the former vice president and attempted to drown out those applauding him. “Well hello NRA,” Pence began, to more boos.

  1. Pence isn’t such a bad guy, at least he isn’t holding queer parties, and catering to the gay community pretending he’s one of them. You know, that’s the second thing that’s an abomination and blasphemous to God. The first is denying the Holy Spirit. I’m not jumping on the bandwagon and going after him – except maybe aligning himself with Trump in the first place. I like this about Pence:

While in college, Pence left the Catholic Church and became an evangelical, born-again Christian, to the disappointment of his mother.

Sorry Mom, your kid made the right choice.

I agree, that was nothing, but for everyone that boo’ed there were probably a dozen that wanted to but were too polite.

@Goldenfoxx, maybe I read your comment wrong but it sounded like you were questioning Pence’s faith. I’m fairly certain where Pence is going when he shuffles off this mortal coil, can’t say the same about his ex-boss.

High hopes, based on what exactly? He never impressed me as anything other than what he exposed to the rest of the world in December 2020. He is a card carrying member of The Party who they knew they could count on when the chips are down.

I don’t know where Pence goes when he’s shuffles off his moral coil, but I do know where Trump goes. When I heard about Pence being an evangelical Christian when Trump paraded him out as his running mate, the gloves came off. Media immediately started attacking Pence because of his faith. They mocked him for not going to dinner parties without his wife. He’s a smart man, unlike Trump getting hooked up and paying off hookers. Trump used Pence’s Christian morals and values to overshadow his own deficiencies in the area. No point in booing a guy who has taken the higher moral road. No worries though, Pence will never be President.

  5. P.S. I think Pence realized he was way over his head with Trump. However, it was his opportunity (Like the Bush) for a shot at being President. I don’t know what Pence is thinking, but it appears voters no longer care about character, morals or values. Who do you vote for? None of the above. BTW, what exactly is Trump working hard for the gays over? More freedoms than us straight people? Punishing those who oppose?

A truer statement has never been made by you!

  7. The GOP is going to cheat President Trump out of the nomination. Pence and the rest have been ordered to make obligatory appearances to maintain the illusion of legitimacy.

  8. Pence is not a leader–zero charisma, lacks conviction (see Indiana RFRA backpeddle). Given his last acts as VP, his chances of being elected to any office are worse than mine.
