  1. Sometimes when you are proactive based on early reports it pays off. But sometimes you get burned.

As soon as I got wind of the parade I booked a room at Trump International hotel on Pennsylvania Ave. Very expensive, but now, no parade.

I’m bummed. Was really looking forward to it.

Oh well. It should be nice anyway and there’s plenty to do in DC.

  2. You need exposure to military/government accounting practices to really appreciate them. I will guarantee you they were throwing in payroll for people that were getting paid, no matter what. In fact, I’ll bet they amortized tire wear along the parade route. This is why government hammer cost $5,000.00.

  3. I heard Trump say he cancelled due to price gouging once the vendors heard of the event. He will go to the ceremony in Europe instead. A businessman’s mentality, even with Other People’s Money.

  4. What if an unfinanced, unannounced spontaneous parade of real veterans broke out? It’d probably be better than the official one. We just need a flock of Canadian geese to do the flyover.
