She is a hijab-wearing, devout Muslim, and Islamic Jew-hatred is in the Quran. What is shameful about this is that her views are mainstream in the Democrat Party today. She should never have been chosen as a candidate for Congress with hateful views of this kind, but this is the way the Democrat leadership, and the Democrat base, thinks. They want candidates like Ilhan Omar. And they win, because this is their base today.

Going out with a whimper is a distinct possibility. That’s how the Roman and British empires died…through a thousand little wounds, many self-inflicted.
The Roman Empire lasted as a remnant as the city of Byzantium till about 1200 or so. It didn’t die overnight. The people got too decadent and lost their courage and purpose. They became self-indulgent and interested mostly in physical pleasures and entertainment. Sounds familiar.
