Saw this a while ago, camera is looking straight. Great picture. Photography from a drone is two hobbies at once.

Q. What’s black and white and red all over?
A. A zebra embarrassed about his picture being taken.

are those a bunch of (mainly) prego’s, or is that a trick of the shadow belly’s & wide bellied zebras? … are zebras usually wide-bellied?
… looking for a zebra expert here …

It was so hot that day that it melted the stripes off all the zebras.

As an imagery interpreter in the USAF back during the Cold War, I was privileged to work with satellite imagery. Let’s just say the resolution was very, very good. The first time I saw camels walking through the dunes of the Gobi Desert, it looked similar to this. Shadows are very helpful when trying to identify all sorts of things we looked for. We had the capability to see things in 3D using powerful stereoscopic microscopes. The Gambit-3 satellite was the best of the best. It was almost like being there.

I understand why they chose it as picture of the year. Very cool.
I thot it was a play on dems (sheep) keeping in line..
I gotta stop reading/watching/living the damned news
My brain was playing tricks on me until I finally unraveled my eyes seeing the zebra. Yes, optical illusion – clever. I too can see why it won.
