Saying that “it is not illegal to be handing out voter registration forms so folks start to get familiar with the forms,” Chair of the Nebraska Democrat Party (NDP), Janet Kleeb, defended a recent outreach effort to 50 immigrants settled in her state by sending them welcome baskets that included the forms.
Unfortunately for Kleeb, refugees will not be receiving the special envelop from the NDP, since the donated items will be sorted by the Refugee Empowerment Center before distribution.
