New research suggests asymptomatic COVID-19 spread is comparatively rare

Just The News: New research out of China suggests that the level of asymptomatic spread of COVID-19 may be less of a threat than is currently widely believed, findings that could influence mitigation measures such as social distancing rules and mask mandates.

Much of the rationale for the coronavirus lockdown policies and countermeasures undertaken by governments across the world over the past several months has been based on the assumption that the virus spreads easily among people showing no symptoms. Scientists have feared that many individuals may transmit the disease via saliva droplets without feeling ill or showing any outward signs of infection, rendering containment of the virus much more difficult.

Medical authorities across the world have since late last year been scrambling to determine just how prevalent asymptomatic spread of the virus truly is. Research into that question is as still sparse but ongoing.  more here

  1. My wife’s friends are so paranoid that they haven’t been out in public since April. They have all their food and other purchases delivered. I think they have been so shaken by this farce that they won’t ever be the same. They’re libtards so hopefully they won’t vote come November 3.

  2. So, the deaths are now almost zero, kids hardly even get it, and if they do, they don’t spread it easily, and, you have to be on your way to the morgue anyway to die from it.

And like most Enteroviruses, COVID is spread mainly by the oral/fecal route – which explains all the nursing home deaths, combined with their usual co-morbidities.

    So….

    1. When do the Governors wake-up and open everything back up 100%? (Especially schools!)

    2. When to they dispense with mandatory mask wearing? (Still afraid, wear a bloody mask!)

(Asking for a friend and maybe 200+ million people.)

  3. I’ve made this argument since the beginning. I’ve been told I’m crazy, have a death wish, want to kill Grandma, you name it and that includes family members, family members who are still hiding in their homes only ordering online or doing grocery pickup or going through drive-thrus with their masks on. They don’t walk out their door without putting a mask on, now some of them are wearing a mask and a face shield and gloves.
I’ve discovered some of my family are even more ignorant than I ever knew.
