In an incident that was more trick than treat,

Juan Bucio had two large skulls stolen from right off his porch. The scariest part is that this all happened while he sat inside his home. More

  1. A neighbor of mine had his F-250 stolen the other night. They drove it to Houston and the cops there caught up with them and shot one of the perps. Isn’t GPS tracking wonderful?

  2. Stealing is becoming a hobby these days. Even in rural areas now, I have rural neighbors who thieves have easy access from the road to their house. They think noting of hooking up to utility, equipment or travel trailers and taking off with them. Sometimes if trucks are hooked to the trailers, they steal the truck and all. ATVs and lawnmowers are stolen almost on a daily basis. They steal livestock constantly.

There is almost no punishment for doing it anymore though, even if you have them on video the cops don’t look for them, so only if they’re arrested for something else will they charge them and even when charged they fine them and turn them loose because the judges say the jails are too full.

One of my neighbors who had his truck and tractor and trailer stolen asked the cops what the hell they paid them for if all they were going to do was write a report. He was told that was all they could do because they don’t have time to look for people or their stolen stuff. His only hope was if they commit a traffic violation while driving the truck. He had them on video, their faces were clearly visible, along with the vehicle they were driving. I’m with the neighbor, if the cops aren’t going to do anything, then they leave us no choice but to become the judge, jury and executioner.

Happening in my area and it’s getting worse. I’m on Nextdoor.com just for the posts of theft or be on the lookout for a certain vehicle in my neighborhood. Every week there is at least a couple of post with someone stealing something off of someone’s front porch or out of the yard. And it’s arbitrary stuff like potted plants, little kid bikes, hedge clippers, lawn chairs, garden statues, etc. I’m sure it’s stuff that the local meth head thinks he/she can get a buck or two for the item.

Just last week there was a post, with pics, of two teen girls stealing Halloween decorations around 2AM. Sad what this world is coming to.
