Lee Zeldin, a lawyer, Army Reserve officer and the congressman for the eastern end of Long Island, threw his hat into the ring for the 2022 New York governor’s race Thursday.
Zeldin, 41, a staunch Republican and outspoken Trump supporter, tweeted his entry into the race with the hashtag #CuomosGottaGo. He is in his fourth term in Congress after four years in the state Senate.

I read that as Lead Zeppelin
Oh well, best of luck to him

Lee has my total support. And I will happily vote for him. Happily. But as I said to my brother when we were chatting about this news, my level of confidence in my fellow New Yorkers to vote for a solid guy like Lee hovers around zero. There’s a reason radical Left Democrats hold a super majority in both the Assembly and the Senate. New Yorkers, by and large, are completely enervated sheep.
I like him but I don’t live in Rude York so I can’t vote for him.
He has a chance if they don’t make it a 17 candidate clown car like they do in CA. lol
Giuliani’s kid, too? Sheesh. I hope he’s not a nut like his sister.
Being named after a popular 70s rock band hardly qualifies him to become governor.
