NY: Illegal alien released by de Blasio bites off ICE officer’s finger

DC: The White House is strongly condemning New York City after it says sanctuary city policies led to the release of an illegal immigrant who later bit off the finger of an ICE agent trying to apprehend him.

“New York’s dangerous ‘sanctuary’ policies are directly responsible for the egregious and violent harm suffered by this courageous ICE officer,” White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley said in a statement to The Daily Caller.

A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokeswoman explained to The Daily Caller that Dominican national Christopher Santos Felix “entered the United States on a visitor’s visa in June 2015, but failed to leave within the required timeframe.” Felix then racked up a litany of criminal charges, including driving while intoxicated, before he was arrested for assault by the New York City Police Department on Sept. 29, 2018.

The ICE spokeswoman continued that they requested a detainer be put on Felix so that he could be taken into federal custody, but as a result of New York City’s sanctuary city policies, he was then let go.  more

  1. The problem is the idiots that dream up their policies never suffer the consequences. Oh, other people do. The little people, the people who have to work for a living and live in unprotected and secure homes.

  2. I still say build the wall and then build a catapult. If you cross the border illegally, you are sent back to Mexico. If you cross a second time, or if you are caught in the U.S. having come here illegally and have been convicted of a crime, you are sent back to Mexico via the catapult and launched back over the wall.

The little people who suffer the results, work to enrich the people that inflict these policies on them. The people that inflict these policies on the little people, live in secure castles because the workers insist on those castles remaining secure. And the idiots are…?

  4. “Proponents of sanctuary policies claim they make communities safer.”

Yeah, sure. The Bronx zoo would be much safer if the walls and fences were removed and the animals allowed to roam free.

  5. The right will blame the leftist sanctuaries and the left will blame the ice agent for trying to apprehend an innocent illegal.

I tend to blame the one that started the whole thing by violating the law first.

  6. It is not just Che Diblasio alone, but the majority of the NYC Council.
It was a much safer city with Ed Koch, Rudy Guilianni, and even whimpy Bloomberg. A few more years of Che Diblasio and kaput!
