PJ Media: What was that notoriously cynical thing that one-time Obama aide, Rahm Emanuel, once said? Oh, yes, “you never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
And the middle of a national emergency, in the middle of a pandemic, in the middle of a time when everyone is making sacrifices, union members are threatening Amazon: Do what I say. Or Else.
New York’s far-left collection of socialists, unionistas, and lawmakers have sent letters to Bezos and his top executives to dictate to them how they should run the warehouse that is bringing food and other necessities to Americans who can’t go out and get them.
To be clear, they’re not just threatening Amazon, the unions have threatened everyone who has come to rely on the ubiquitous company. more here
” “you never let a serious crisis go to waste. …. ”
And if you don’t have one you manufacture one.
I don’t have a lot of sympathy for the Amazon’s and Walmarts. Their business plans consist in part to destroy the small business model. I stopped using Walmart many years ago when they started moving away from the made in USA model and I’ve never used Amazon. If I can’t find it in my community I didn’t need it. In fact when I purchased my latest phone one of the selling points the salesman threw out was that it came with a free Amazon prime membership. That was the second app I uninstalled after Facebook. If you read the permissions on Amazon’s app they basically control your device.
Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean others can’t have it. These un-American SOB’s are always (just like the dems with Trump) waiting to seize the opportunity for their advantage and not for the public for which renders it necessary.
In an ideal world we could say f’em all and let it fail but there are too many people dependent on doing it this way. How many of the workers are immigrants, illegals, and general ne’er do wells in these so called “union” movements.
They used to say “read the union label – but not “i say read the union fable” about it being in support of America and its people.
Mr. Soros, anyone and his paid ilk I presume?
Hey Bozos. They’re on your lefty side of the aisle. GOOD LUCK!
Mr Bezos meets the DNC mob wanting to “wet their beaks”, watch how fast the warehouses get moved to another state.
if unions shot down amazon for 1 week in new york the unions would anger an entire city at a very delicate time and suffer a huge public relations disaster.
What would Ayn Rand say? Who is John Galt?
Great idea unionistas! Exacerbate an already effed up situation. I don’t use amazon anymore either because bezos is a miserable Marxist, the world’s richest anti American and owner of the Washington Post.
Bezos being in the crosshairs of his own people?
Kind of delicious. But dangerous as hell.
Hot war on the horizon? Looks like a few more incidents will make it inevitable.
Are these unions not doing exactly what drove companies to set up their operations to other countries in the first place? Mob tactics never change.
In the BBC documentary A World At War there is footage of soldiers escorting workers back to their jobs at gunpoint. Roosevelt ordered it. They wanted incredible pay and benefits increases during that time of crisis. I believe it was pre United States entry and under the Lend Lease program. I can’t find the footage on the internet by searching right now, but just watched it a month ago.
Nice to see Bezos get a taste of what President Trump, and his father before him, have had to deal with their entire careers.
JDHasty, thanks for the mention of the documentary. I’m downloading it now and looking forward to being immersed for 26 hours.
Bezos is a leftist asshole. Nice to see him reaping what he helped sow via the Washington Post.

There must be some mistake. In the reporting of the timing. United States military heroes would never enslave the American people. Just because banksters told them to. Not without an
actualexternal threat to America.
