Daily Caller

Oakland, California, is set to give adult residents vouchers to donate to candidates for local office every other year, according to The San Francisco Chronicle.

Nearly 74% of the city’s voters approved Measure W, mandating that the city biannually send four $25 dollar vouchers to residents 18 years of age and older for donations to mayoral, City Council or school board candidates, the outlet reported. The program will be paid for with city general funds and include legal permanent residents who lack U.S. citizenship. More

  1. They now give out taxpayer money to others that is specifically for payment back to them. Corruption beyond belief and yet it is allowed.
We are such a F up country. We are being pushed and the end will not be nice for anyone.

  2. they collect taxes, then they give a pittance to the ‘residents,’ who are then supposed to give it back. Non-citizens, also know as illegal aliens, get it too.
so, someone’s relatives will get government jobs supervising all that. Then, later there will be more jobs to investigate the resulting corruption.
and the wheel goes round and round …

  3. Voucher harvesting. Buy vouchers from poor folks for discount coupons at fast food outlets, or for tickets to a drawing for a 75 inch TV, etc. Sell bundled vouchers to political campaigns for say 50% of their face value. Thank you. Thank you very much.
