Obama Appointee Upset He’s Been Reassigned – IOTW Report

Obama Appointee Upset He’s Been Reassigned

According to Joel Clement’s own Linkin page, he was made Director of Policy Analysis for the Interior Department in January 2011, two years into Barack Obama’s presidency.  In July of this year, Mr. Clement was reassigned within the Interior Department to become a Senior Advisor in the Office of Natural Resource Revenue.

He views his new job as retaliation for his advocating for climate change and has file a complaint to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel.  Mr. Clement states that he isn’t an accountant but is instead a “Science and policy expert” so his new position “doesn’t add up.” Clement portrays himself as a government “whistleblower” now.

More

Before his career as a civil servant, Clements worked for eight years as a program officer for the Wilburforce Foundation. According to Charity Navigator, the Wilburforce Foundation is a “Private Grant Making Foundation.” The Foundation’s “Strategic Framework 2025” states that Wilburforce “funds projects and programs in our priority areas that advance our mission and vision.” That means that they don’t actually do the work in the field, but instead do studies, make recommendations and review the effectiveness of their funding allocations.

So this guy is whining that he’s not an accountant but a scientist, yet his last job before coming to Washington was overseeing how foundation money was spent?  How is that different from reviewing how the government’s money is spent within the Interior Department? Seems to me like a better match to his background and expertise, not a demotion.

Correction: account changed to accountant.

    Fabulous.
Mr Trump and I agree that what this bureaucrat calls his science is actually ‘community organizing” on a global scale. Mr Trump and I might disagree that an expert in such ‘policy’ has any place in our government. But I defer to Mr Trump because he was elected my President and he has shown insight beyond mine.

  2. He and about 10,000 other Ocommie dip shits should all be in the unemployment line. They cannot be trusted. Then cut another 40-50 thousand who draw Federal paychecks for showing up. We don’t need them, we cannot afford them. Get rid of them. Chop chop.

I disagree with what that line of unemployable apparatchiks leads to!

    > Chop chop.

    Oh. Maybe not.

  4. Working for the Federal government is just too attractive to people on the left. They can throw away all objectivity, push a agenda that serves their radical views while calling it service to the public, and fleece the taxpayer for high salaries and cushy retirement packages. In a competitive society these same people would spend their lives doing menial labor.
