Money is basically paper or digital units backed by a government – you trust that the government will not destroy the wealth represented by money. So according to this article, World of Warcraft – a bunch of fictional characters in a fictional universe beating the hell out of each other – is more trustworthy than real Venezuelans in a real third world shithole beating the hell out of each other.
Actually, that sounds about right.

And they are trading this for REAL food, that’s the amazing part.
