The owner of a Charleroi staffing agency pleaded guilty Monday to multiple charges after officials said he harbored illegal aliens for financial gain.
In a release from the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Western Pennsylvania District’s office, 28-year-old Andy Ha pleaded guilty after officials said he harbored illegal aliens for financial gain and failed to pay more than $3 million in employment taxes.
From Sept. 2022 to April 2024, the release said, Ha owned a temporary staffing agency called Prosperity Services Inc. The agency provided workers to companies in the Charleroi, Pennsylvania area.
As part of the business, the staffing agency owner paid for more than 25 workers who were not legally authorized to work in the United States, the release said. He paid the workers to stay in a former hotel and paid for business vans to take them to and from work.
Ha also provided Prosperity’s tax return preparer with spreadsheets listing only workers who were legally authorized to be and work in the United States. more

Staffing agencies are a joke.
They quit drug testing toe folks they sent us even though they came in reeking of pot. When asked about this, they said “Its all we have to send you, its them or no one”
NB Weed was quasi-legalized in OH, Im sure its the same elsewhere.
They also must have a test for English and reject any foreigners who can speak it. Grunting and pointing are the order of the day in our little Tower of Babel.

It wouldn’t and didn’t happen if so many hadn’t received their quid pro quo.
In my area it manifests as acres and acres of warehouses storing/shipping goods supplied by employers scamming local counties and townships and receiving tax exemptions and removing land from tax rolls…thus forcing the burdens on the average citizens.
We get screwed more ways than you can count – burdens on community infrastructure hospitals/ schools/ prisons /social programs/ housing/ elections – it becomes interrelated.
