17 Comments on Popping a Balloon in a Sound Absorption Room
No echo.
The Small Bang Theory?
Reminds me of my ex
I had a fart this morning that sounded like that.
Did your fart have that rubbery balloon smell to it?
Also known as an anechoic chamber. As opposed to an echo chamber like Washington
Facinating.
“The longest that anyone has survived in the ‘anechoic chamber’ at Orfield Laboratories in South Minneapolis is just 45 minutes. It’s 99.99 per cent sound absorbent and holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s quietest place, but stay there too long and you may start hallucinating.”
If a tree falls in a large sound absorbing room, does anyone hear it?
I’ve been in EV’s anechoic chamber with the door closed and the lights out.
It’s spooky wierd!
Sounds like a suppressed 22.
@ mr dick, more like 2 week old chimichanga’s
I’m saying BS. You can hear everything the guy is doing, blowing it up, tying it, rubbing it on his shirt and every other little thing. Any muffling of the balloon pop is probably because it is being absorbed by the t shirt.
I have a 1 mo, a 9 yo, and an 11 yo visiting today. Why in the hell do I not have one of these?
Can we line the walls of our Federal Institutions with it? i.e. High Court and Congress?
My tinnitus has several qualities to it. Most of it sounds like crickets on a summers evening
I don’t think I’d like it, but I think I can handle more than 45 minutes an anecho chamber.
