She is, in her words, “a mess,” and losing her sense of humor.

She has some lung issues and can use the power of our close-knit group to buoy her at this tough time.

And, as they say, when it rains it pours. Sherman, her beloved cat, has been in and out of the hospital for the past 2 weeks.

Eugenia, for the newer iOTWers, is an iOwnTheWorld originalist.

    She wuld never have said what zi did. her Family were AMERICANS!
    But that was pre jFK!

Dear Lord, we come before you today to commend our sister Eugenia to you, whose true name and full condition is known to You who formed her in the womb and stood by her all the days so far, as You will do all her days on Earth and for eternity in Heaven. We beseech You as her Ultimate Physician to walk around her bedside, heal her body as you have many times before, and buoy her spirit with the presense of the Comforter in all things, lighten her heart even as You knit her lungs, bringing full and complete healing to her body and the joy of Your presence to her heart, giving her a praise to Your glory and Your Mercy to add to her already long testament to Your goodness. And Lord, please touch her companion Sherman, whom You entrusted to her care which she has performed faithfully, that he too may be healed, carrying the love You share with us in his small, furry body, a support for her through which Your love shines through. Some may call this a small thing but we who see Your comfort in those small souls and love them even as You love us know that the worth of these souls far outweighs the smallness of their frame, and truly appreciate that You have given us such companionship at all and ask in her case in particular that you extend Your hand to this little life that he may be a support to his mistress for a little while longer, as she completes the healing path You set her feet on.

    Lord this is much to ask by one who is not worthy to even think Your name, but I ask this on behalf of another by the Blood of your precious and merciful Son Jesus Christ, that he may intercede once more on her behalf and be here to share her wisdom with all us her words have touched for just a little while longer.

    It is in His precious name we pray,

  22. Dear Eugenia,
    You are on my prayer list and I will continue to ask the Lord, the Great Healer, to come to your aid. As said above, we should never underestimate the power of prayer!

  23. Eugenia have an awesome group here praying for you. 10 yrs ago next month we adopted a baby girl that was in the NICU and after a month of testing found out she had a very rare lung disease. She required Oxygen to compensate and they said she would hopefully grow out of it as her lungs grew. They could not tell us how long but said it might be 6 to 8 years before she is complete off of oxygen and told us that we will end up in the hospital with her likely once or twice a year during flu season.
    I’m here to tell you that our God is awesome and is the God of salvation and healing.
    After only 2 years she was off of oxygen completely and has not been back in the hospital since her 2.5 months in the NICU when she was born. Let this be an encouragement to you and look to HIM.

  35. Thank you BFH and all our IOTW family. I feel lighter and more confident already. All of you have prayed over me through 2 surgeries in 2020 and 2021 and I feel the power and the love.

    …you are far too kind. I’ve know true Chaplains and am not qualified to hold their Bibles. I have no calling, I am just a broken vessel the Lord uses sometimes. If I say anything good it is Him you see and not me. Ever to Him be the glory, and may our sister Eugenia have a praise report glorifying His name for the miracle He will do for Her, in His name we pray, Amen.
