Psychiatrists with the World Mental Health Coalition are soliciting signatures in a campaign to support the impeachment of President Donald Trump predicated on claims that he is mentally unstable. This campaign arguably violates the ethics of psychiatry, mimicking a historic attack on another Republican presidential candidate who successfully sued for libel after psychiatrists declared him unfit for the presidency.
In 1964, Fact magazine published an article claiming that 1,189 psychiatrists had diagnosed Republican presidential nominee Barry Goldwater as “psychologically unfit to be president.” The magazine had surveyed psychiatrists, and 49 percent of respondents described Goldwater as unfit, calling him “unbalanced,” “immature,” “paranoid,” “psychotic,” and “schizophrenic.” A Johns Hopkins professor said the Republican’s public statements should “disqualify him from the presidency.” Sound familiar?
Goldwater sued for libel and won — a rare legal feat in America’s pro-free speech justice system.
Quackchiatrists.
Go to any of these morons at your peril.
Takes one to know one.
“World Mental Health Coalition” sounds like something dreamed up by a third year psychology major.
Psychiatrists are nuts, I’ve never met a sane shrink. Like social workers, sociologists, (behaviorists as well like BF Skinner) and their ilk, the best ones (or worst) come from dysfunctional backgrounds. And Sig Freud was the biggest fraud and phony of them all.
I don’t know any Psychiatrists, but in my college Psyc classes I quickly figured out it wuz the “perfesser” who wuz nuts enough to be the special assistant to Carl Spackler avenging gophers on the golf course!
“What’s an ethic?”
-World Mental Health Coalition
…Psychiatrists have a very high suicide rate…
They need to look at TDS to see whats wrong with these scary crazies and red flag those voters.
I’m not a psychiatrist, but I saw an actor play one on television once. Therefore, I am qualified to assess the members of the “World Mental Health Coalition” as, to use the proper medical term, “nuts.”
I’m also pretty sure that politics played no role in their assessment. After all, Biden’s ramblings about his leg hair are normal, as is Warren’s predeliction to lie about her heritage for personal gain, or Schiff’s tactics in trying to find any reason for impeachment, or Nadler refusing to acknowledge that the Mueller report found no Trump collusion with Russia, or Sanders pretending to be a Democrat every four years so he can campaign for president, etc. etc. In fact, applying these yokels’ criteria to the politicians and bureaucrats who have been paraded before the American people over the past few weeks, we should remove about 75% of Congress from pubic office on the grounds of mental instability.
I would go on about the crazies in Hollywood, the media, or our educational system, but that would be way too easy.
…just remember in ANY mental health conversation, that the ruling class decides what’s healthy.
That was demonstrated when they changed the definition of ‘narcissim’ between DSM IV and DSM V during Barry’s regime because it fit him too closely.
“These criteria are obsolete.

DSM Criteria
A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
(1) has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
(2) is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
(3) believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
(4) requires excessive admiration

…everything’s subject to change. Not liking Communism was once ruled a “mental illness” in Russia…
“Abstract
The use of psychiatry for political purposes has been a major subject of debate within the world psychiatric community during the second half of the 20th century. The issue became prominent in the 1970s and 1980s due to the systematic political abuse of psychiatry in the Soviet Union, where approximately one-third of the political prisoners were locked up in psychiatric hospitals. The issue caused a major rift within the World Psychiatric Association…”

…Huh, look who popped up at the end of the article! And SOME of whom SUPPORTED that not liking Communism was a mental illness!
…this goes WAY back. Supposedly mad emperor Caligula once questioned his own sanity (after ordering his army to fight the Sea and eating his sister and his’ incest baby, among other things), and was told by frighened advisors that he, as Emperor, was the STANDARD of sanity.
…and so it goes…
Barry the Indonesian tainted EVERYTHING. The psychiatric ‘profession’ is no exception. These are the SAME folks that excuse Muslim murder of old ladies as an understandable outgrowth of smoking pot, and who say we need to cut a 3 year old boy’s penis off QUICKLY if he tries on his mother’s shoes, whether the parents agree or NOT.
…I tried to avoid this, but there’s no other way to say it:
Fuck Psychiatrists.
They are no good for anyone, anymore, and that’s mostly by DESIGN.
…go ‘head though, impeach away. You may want to study the effects of justifiable rage on heavily-armed and well-trained populations that have been politically abused for a long time before you DO, though, or you just might get a case study you won’t live long enough to PROFIT from…
Is it just a coincidence that Psychotherapist = Psycho-the-rapist? I think not.

“… After all, Biden’s ramblings about his leg hair are normal, as is Warren’s predeliction to lie about her heritage for personal gain,…”
…well, actually Warren DOES make sense, in a lack-of-ethics way. I mean, if you set UP an unconstitutional racial spoils system that punishes all MODERN White people for the alleged sins of a few long-dead White people they are not even RELATED to, why NOT game that same system to your advantage, since it ITSELF is immoral and unethical?
…the only thing that makes it wrong for Warren is that EVERYONE can’t do it, it takes Democrat privilege to ignore Democrat race-punishment laws without consequences…
…so no, THIS is NOT, in my view, insane, as it just bypasses a restriction that shouldn’t be there ANYWAY.
…the LEG HAIR thing is still pretty bad, tho…
When I was at UGA, there was a complex of two identical buildings facing each other across a plaza. It was called the P-J Center. One building was for the school of Psychology and the other was for school of Journalism. I thought it was an odd pairing way back then, but it all makes sense now.
Psychiatry: You can politically misdiagnose the President of the United States and be a star witness, but tell the truth to the gender confused mob and lose your career.
The left takes over all professional organizations, sooner or later, and turns them to absolute shit. AMA, ABA, APA, NEA, etc… all radicalized now. Any legitimate practitioner of medicine, law, psychology, education, etc must be heartbroken by all this politicized horse shit that is bound to make much of the public sprint away from their services out of fear of leftist enslavement.
Did they do this to quadafi? Ortega? Noriega? Putin? Newsom? Merkel? Trudeau? Jussie? 0bama? Hillary?
HILLARY! The one with all the criminal problems, the fainting spells, the anger issues, the alleged murder boss, the liar, the grifter, the one with the personal assistant who has a pedo husband (and won’t leave him. Oh wait! Hillary has a pedo hubby, too! And she won’t leave him, either.)
The entire FBI and CIA. Nobody’s interested in psychoanalyzing them from 10,000 miles away?
lol
Lookit the hairs on my legs….shiny.
They assume the Goldwater thing is so far in the past (thas like over two years ago, dude) that no one will resurrect the blatant hypocrisy and fraudulence of their “profession.”
Ask any one of them if radio-psychoanalysis (psychoanalysis purely by brainwaves over great distances without ever having met the patient) is relevant, and they’d probably look at you askance (for one thing, it’s not billable).
Their hypocrisy is only surpassed by their hubris.
Remember their names, or, at least, copy them somewhere.
izlamo delenda est …
Hey, we smoked Camels more than any other cigarette brand. And Trump is f–king insane.
Are these the same Psychiatrists who think homosexuality is perfectly normal?
Yeah, I thought so.
Imagine that, snake oil salesmen, shamans, palm readers and grifters get together under the catch all heading psychiatrists, to declare someone else mentally unfit!
I recommend watching this interview between Mark Levin and Dr. Bandy Lee (one of the psychiatrists who is starting this petition). The interview was done in August and it will certainly show you how “nuts” she is.

Corky- yes! It was broo-tal. She was on defense the entire time. Even contradicting herself throughout. It was glorious. Thanks for posting the link.
I can diagnose/fix a car over the phone, sometimes.
When the shrinks can do that, I might listen to their rattle.
As complicated as they claim the human mind is, I doubt their veracity, being able to dial in a competent diagnosis.
I heard Mark Levin rip a female psychiatrists from Yale or Harvard or similar institution a new one on his show about two months ago who had written similar tripe. Like Schiff’s witnesses, she had never met PDJT, yet she had written a column claiming he was mentally unstable. And she was the top honcho of some Psychiatrists group. Psychiatrists believe a lot of odd stuff.
Psychiatry. The field that was invented when some sicko, er medical researcher, decided to inject a depressed person with fabric dye and see what happened. Then moving on to stuff like lobotomies, electric shocks… currently the field that takes invented psychopharmaceuticals and says, gee let’s see what this new toxin does and see if we can make a market for curing the newly-coined malady whose symptoms it seems to suppress.
My favorite Halloween mask is of the “CIA psychologist” and his psychiatric pals handing out “LSD” to servicemen during the late 50’s and 60’s for “research” purposes.
The third Reich rises again when social workers, community organizers, and psychiatrists come together to form a swamp.
nuff said.
Because Hollyweird is imploding (due to their strident politics),
there must be alot of chain-smoking out-of-work therapist/clowns fishing for work.
Have not read any of above yet. . .
Did you notice French President Macron hand signals followed by US President Trumps Arms Talk comment?
Audio Video Clip worthy. Time stamped answer.
My firm does a great deal of governmental contract work. One project, awhile back, was with the State of TX Dept of Human Svcs. Over the course of our series of projects, I interacted with more than a few mental health professionals, both State and contract. The one thing which stood out, for me, was that almost every single one of them were seeing their own therapists, or had in the past. (A surprising number actually entered the field because they’d originally undergone ‘treatment.’) They all had very wordy justifications for doing so, and I didn’t criticize them, just listened. It was totally their call (though, I believe some of them were required by their department policy). In my WYSIWYG, knuckle-dragging, Neanderthal mind, however, if they are so jack-wagoned FUBAR, how can they possibly help un-jack me?
I’ve never really understood the whole PTSD issue; it is something I just did not experience (at least I don’t think I did). For a long time I had the mindset it just wasn’t real. Until, I struck up friendships with some younger vets, just off AD deployments, whom I met out on the ranges. A number of them were clearly hurting. So, I just listened, prayed with them, and offered advice where it seemed needed. Through that process, I realized that I may have dodged the PTSD bullet with my name, due to my tendency to help people. I did a lot of thinking on that concept, because I trend somewhat socially reclusive (very private), and came to the understanding that I had stumbled into a core admonishment the Lord gave to Believers: we are to have a servant’s heart. Putting others before ourselves.
Since I tend to be kinda, sorta, slightly, borderline OCD, I do not tackle things half-measure. Never have. So, even ‘over there’ I was, for lack of better term, counseling my comrades…which became more official as I advanced up the chain. Consequently, was natural to do that back home, via a variety of venues.
It’s long been my staunch opinion the field of Psychology is a psuedoscience, birthed by secularists in an attempt to rationalize our Creation, and image of our minds, away from God. There is justifiable reason it took so long for acceptance into the scientific community (the scientific method cannot be applied to any of its ‘truths’). The fact this herd of quackalopess is publicly fomenting ‘analyzing-diagnosing’ POTUS sans an actual in-person interview, does not bolster one iota of credibility for them or their professional racket. Very much the opposite.
Selflessly investing yourself, by deed and action, in the wellbeing of others is deeply satisfying and curative…cathartic, I believe they call it. I know this for me, and have witnessed it in others. Perhaps, that’s my PTSD inoculation.
Just my two cents-worth. Oh, alright, a buck-fifty!
TWD
And they’re not concerned about Uncle Joe?
Frauds!
…you’re right about brain peepers, @TWD, none of THEM seems very well anchored.
What I saw of “mental health care” from an ambulance level just as they deinstitutionalized was a travesty, and one of the main reasons I don’t do that job any more. It’s just too depressing to go through all the legal hoops starting with the LEO red-tagging a guy, only to see them walk out before the squad paperwork is done, and with a get-out-of-jail FREE card to boot.
And it’s only gotten much, much WORSE, to go by the massive “Transgender” ward the local kiddie hospital has added. Not to CURE it, mind you, but to AFFIRM it, and to start legal action against parents if they don’t immediately agree to hormones and surgery.
No, Democrats have ruined that, too. If you get your sanity by stud, the child looks a LOT like the father.
And as I said before, those guys have a very high suicide rate…
I thought so. This “group” was formed after Trump was elected and serves solely to attack the President. I think a little digging will find Soros money there. Somehow they got a 501(c)3 status meaning that donations are tax deductible. That has to be against the letter and spirit of of the tax act as it comes to forming tax deductible organization. This is pure attack politics disguised as a medical group. Maybe all their names ought to be published somewhere and a little research will show their Caribbean medical diplomas. Or maybe a call to the IRS
If I was a psychiatrist, I’d be cringing.
The fascist left destroys another institution.
Having a group of crazy people calling you crazy is a badge of honor
