Reporter confronts NY Times editor, and her response says it all

  1. I’m of two minds about this. On the one hand, the NYT reporter is in public and plainly identifiable. Nominally that entitles others to approach her. On the other, she’s in company at a sidewalk restaurant (or an annex), and engaged in a private chat with a third party. Quite a lot of people would be annoyed by being approached by a reporter in those circumstances, and would decline to “encourage him.” But the Rebel News reporter’s question is a good one that deserves an answer. Perhaps the Times editorial board…naah, forget I said anything, silly me!
