  1. Just curious how this sudden discovery that Corey Lewandrowski was “misidentified” squares with the original story;

    The statement was issued in the wee hours of Wednesday morning but remains Breitbart’s official comment on the matter, hours after sources said Lewandowski acknowledged to Breitbart’s Washington political editor, Matthew Boyle, that he did manhandle Fields.

    Lewandowski’s explanation to Boyle, said these sources, was that he and Fields had never met before and that he didn’t recognize her as a Breitbart reporter, instead mistaking her for an adversarial member of the mainstream media. Trump’s press secretary, Hope Hicks, didn’t respond to an email seeking comment.

    So is Lewandrowski now recanting his confession?

  2. *yawn*

    All that matters is that this week’s media meme of “Trump Equals Violence” keeps getting pounded in all outlets.

    Next week it will be “Trump is a Sex Offender.”

    Week after that (checking the menu here) it’s “Trump Eats Babies.”

  3. I guess Lewandowski is recanting, taking a page right from Fields’ book.
    Fields, if anyone remembers, is the woman who accused Allen West of groping her, but then didn’t want to go on the record.
    The story ran with her name in it anyway.
    Fields has not sued the reporter.

  4. “Lewandowski’s explanation to Boyle, said these sources…”

    Some cofession, it’s like the game telephone. What a sad silly cry for attention. Waa waa waa a man moved me away from where I didnt belong, and I have a boo-boo to prove it

  5. Reporters and news media personalities seem to think they can go over the ropes, storm the candidates, and get an op-ed story and photo op anytime they please….He was following his orders to protect the candidate…so away reporter…your five mins in the spotlight expired last year….

  6. Not real important, but interesting to me because I bruise very easily. Hers looks old, bruises take time to form, and being greenish not red/purplish means its already healing. Just my opinion of course

  7. @Jeannie -I watched the video at your link, and it clears up a lot. This whole thing smells of complete BS. A WAPO photog took a photograph of her next to TRUMP, so where’s the photo/footage of anything happening to her?

  8. My guess is when the SS starts to move a person whom they are protecting, the “go” means “now.” She hindered this.

    Maybe I’ve read too much Mitch Rapp and the like, but there are certain windows of time when the worse can happen, and I could see bad things happening when there is chaos of people shuffling around, something that looks like a person strategically holding up the “go” order, etc. I would have tossed her out of the way if I were protecting my charge.

  9. It was a woman who just about killed MLK with a letter opener.
    I bet the Secret Service guy put his hand on her to stop her and she yanked to get her arm free.
    The bruising comes from the iron grip of a man trained to protect someone in his care

  10. First, interesting who it might have been that reminded you of the original Allen West story;

    {quote}
    Campaign manager Corey Lewandowski tweeted two reports alleging Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields was assaulted and suggested she was seeking attention from both incidents. One 2015 story alleged that a colleague of Fields’ once grabbed her breast, while a second story from 2011 quoted Fields saying police hit her with a baton during the Occupy Wall Street protests
    {end quote}

    Second, so Gotnews is a good source for valid stories now since they were the source of the original groping story?

    While this is a non-event to me, it sure does seem interesting how different people are treating this in what appears to be intended to deflect from and defend Trump. I can’t wait to see how low discourse and civility can go in defending Trump if he does happen to become President.

    P.S. The Game Telephone involved multiple people distorting and confusing what was said. In this case the source was reporting directly a confirmed report that the Breitbart Washing Editor had received confirmation of the incident from Lewandrowski. Hardly confused or distorted unless that is how you want to have it viewed as a means to defend Lewandrowski.

  11. Oh wow! The snowflake works for Cruz sugar daddy who owns Breitbart!!!

    Is this also why Shapiro changed from Love Trump 2011 to hate Trump , Love Cruz 2016?

    “Billionaire Robert Mercer purchasing Breitbart.Com is perhaps one of the more well known ideological political purchases. A complete usurpation of the legacy of the founder in an effort to create content favorable to the candidacy of Ted Cruz. Mercer purchased Breitbart for $11 million and then founded Cruz’s super-PAC with another $10+ million.”

  12. No backer of Trump but it occurred to me the woman bruises rather easily like my wife. Made the whole incident sound as if the man through to the ground and I see no evidence of that happening.

    Chalk the whole thing up to sour grapes on her part.

    Cruz 2016

  13. @ Plain Jane, but would that not be a good thing to know? Look, I like Trump and Cruz – and am trying to be consistent. Breitbart.com has been consistently complimentary to Trump…so I just want to know the timing of this purchase. The Treehouse had Jeb a forgone conclusion due to shenanigans, but that did not happen – so maybe they are not as smart as they think? No disrespect…just asking the question.

  14. @ Aunt Liz,

    Yes, it would be good to know the timing of the purchase, but I really don’t know how to learn when Mercer bought Breitbart. However, I honestly see Breitbart’s loyalties differently than you do.

    As far as Jebbie, I’m not sure it’s over until it’s over. Not defending Sundance, because he/she doesn’t need defending. So much of what CTH says has transpired, plus I know some of what’s happening by putting two and two together because of a personal source.

    If you learn when the purchase was made, please let us know.

  15. Maybe I missed something, but Trump can’t go ANYWHERE without a phalanx of photographers, reporters, and average joes with cellphones, and NOBODY caught video of this alleged assault? And you people are buying into this?
